A decorative plate from the collection of the Mares Museum, Barcelona is transformed to illustrate an incident which took place in 2013. A sperm whale found on the Spanish southern coast had swallowed 17kgs of plastic waste dumped by local food suppliers of major UK supermarkets. Food Chain questions the standards and responsibilities of cheap,unseasonal produce and the fatal consequences of plastics finding their way into the food chain.
